Floralia is a beautiful flowers market which takes place twice a year, in Autumn and in Spring, in the middle of the historic center of Milan, on Piazza San Marco (check their website here). For the occasion, hundreds of flowers, roses, orchids, plants and trees invade this charming little square and Milanese come here to shop new flowers and plants for the new season. Here are the pics!
I loved the chilli tree.. and could not resist but to take one: something is telling me that my winter cuisine is going to be hot!
Autumn is THE time of the year when to plant bulbs..
I liked the idea of putting plants in cups..
I also loved these pots with the names of aromatic plants engraved on them!
While all the flowers and plants stalls are on the square, there are actually many more kind of stalls inside the church courtyard!
This one was selling organic herbs and teas in vintage boxes.. How could you possibly resist!
But my absolute favourite stall was one where you could create your own pot-pourri for autumn by choosing among the dozen different sort of fruits and flowers all infused with various types of essential oils (verbena, lemon, cinnamon, etc)..
More detailed posts on which flowers/plants to choose in Autumn and new ideas for pot-pourri and to ‘scent up’ your interior without chemical products very soon!
Happy Sunday everyone!
